In one word: Fun
This Hangman online game for real money is basically a quiz version of the classic hangman game that we’re all used to.
- For every letter you select you have to answer a question.
- For every puzzle you solve you will win points.
- The more points you get the more money you can win.
If you choose an incorrect letter for the puzzle, an extra body part is added to the "hangman" outline. After the man has been fully drawn the game is over.
Unfortunately there is no vicious hanging sequence to accompany the "game over" screen, which is a royal shame.

"Real money Hangman" is a nice little quiz game. Notice my use of that lame word "nice" there. Hangman isn’t a roller coaster ride of awesomeness, nor is it less fun than punching yourself in the face. It’s just an enjoyable game that sits somewhere in the middle.
Although this Hangman quiz game is never outright boring, it is very one-dimensional. You pick letters, answer questions and win points. Rinse and repeat.
There’s also a bog-standard bonus round thrown in to the mix, but injects about as much fun as a party popper at a funeral.
In fairness, if you model a game on the classic that is "Hangman", you’re not going to expect too much drugs, sex and debauchery. However, it would be nice if there was some variation from the tired "answer questions and win points" format.
Good, enjoyable effort overall, but it’s not going to leave you foaming at the mouth for more lashings of entertainment. In other words, it’s no Bullseye.
How to play this quiz game.
The basic plan.
- Choose your stake.
- Select the category you want to play with in the main hangman game.
- Choose letters and answer questions to complete the puzzle.
- The more puzzles you complete, the more money you will win.
Think of this online version of Hangman for real money as the same as the normal version with a few questions thrown in to the mix. Oh, and a bunch of cash prizes too of course.

The online Hangman quiz is split up in to two steps that are repeated throughout the game:
- Select a category.
- Choose letters and answer questions.
Don’t forget about the pesky time limit for selecting categories and answering questions by the way. There’s no time to make a cup or tea or have a quick game of billiards when playing Hangman online for money.
1) Selecting a category.
At the start of the game (or after completing a puzzle), you have the option of choosing between 3 different categories.
Different categories dish out varying amounts of points, although I think the number of points assigned to each category is done at random rather than based on difficulty.
After every puzzle you complete, the points for that category will be added to a points bar at the top of the screen. After you have hit certain points milestones you will be rewarded with cash prizes. Prizes can be collected in between rounds or gambled for bigger wins.
2) Choosing letters and answering questions.
This is the part of Hangman that we’re all familiar with!
In this particular version, you have the choice of 3 different letters to choose from. Some letters will help to complete the puzzle whereas others will not. However, there is always at least 1 letter out of the 3 that will fit in to the word/phrase.
After selecting a correct letter you have to answer a question from the category assigned to it. If you fail to answer the question correctly after using up all your "try agains", the game is over.
If your chosen letter does not complete the puzzle, a body part is filled in on the hanging man in the top right corner of the screen. As soon as his body is completely drawn (there are 6 body parts in total) the game is over.

Bonus round.
As promised there is a small bonus round. The bonus round in online Hangman is activated by selecting the question mark "?" instead of a letter when it appears as an option in the middle of a puzzle.
The bonus round is one of those standard ones where you have to watch and follow the boxes before selecting one of the prizes that was shown to you at the start of the game. The prizes and forfeits include:
Good prizes:
- Money bag (cash prize) - An instant cash prize is added to your winnings.
- Bullet (extra try again) - A try again is added to the game.
- 2 Bullets (super try again) - Two try agains are added to the game.
- Extra points - Gives you extra points (as indicated) after completing the puzzle.
- Bonus letters - 3 letters are added to the current phrase.
- Add a letter - A single letter is added to the phrase.
- Complete phrase - Exactly what it says on the tin.
Bad prizes:
- Boot hill - All winnings up to that point are lost and the game is over.
- Lose try again - Lose 1 of your "try agains".
- Add a limb - An extra limb is added to the hangman.
- Lynched - The hangman is completed and the game in over.
The bonus jackpot.
Every now and then, one of the letters that you can choose from will have a small gold nugget appearing at the bottom of it. Each time you choose one of these letters, the golden nugget is added to your jackpot tally.
After you have collected a set amount of golden nuggets, the online Hangman bonus jackpot is released. The actual bonus amount and number of nuggets required to release it varies from one game to the next depending on how long it has been since the jackpot was last won.
The Hangman jackpot bonus is kept separate from your standard real money winnings (from completing puzzles and collecting points) and it cannot be lost.
